When I started to do pet rescue, the hair situation would be out of control at times. I abandoned my carpet for wood and vinyl tile floor and swept up furiously. Many times a day. While that seemed to help, pushing the hair and dander unto the dust pan had the hair flying! Vacuuming was ok, but it couldn't get under the furniture or in the corners as well as my broom did. Then I found the Black and Decker Dustbuster!! (An older version than the one shown; same model, just older). I used the Dustbuster to suck up my little piles of hair. I could move the brush back that was around the mouth (is that what's its called??) and I could get hair off the furniture. Going up and down the steps and capturing the dust bunnies in the corners only took 2 minutes. The best part, I have had it for 4-5 years and it still works great. It's cordless so I can whip around my house effortlessly. Any family with multiple pets really needs a dustbuster.

Reason: besides capturing the hair, it really saves me time. Also, despite the abuse this poor dustbuster has taken, it still runs great. Love the cordless part. The longer piece in front allows you to get under things. Right now, the newer version of mine is priced at $49.99 on Amazon. Not bad for a product that seems to last forever. I highly recommend.
