I have a bunch of dogs here that have an aversion to being washed in the tub in the winter. They much prefer hot summer time and playing/being squirted with the hose as their form of bathing. Sorry, but I have an aversion to my house smelling like dirty dogs so we had to come to a compromise.
I have tried many products trying to get these dogs to smell like roses (I know, impossible) but most came up short. The smell would return in less than a day and they were sooo expensive. I have too many dogs to buy small bottles that don't last long. After many tries, I came across this on Amazon. Since I am a regular Amazon shopper, I am not sure how I missed this in the past. But its here now and thank goodness! As you can see by the picture, this stuff comes in a gallon jug. So I got out my handy squirt bottle (always keep an empty one one hand because you never know), loaded it up and started squirting.
I tried it on my hound-beagle mix first because she is the most smelly. I wetted her down with the spray bottle, which she hated, then wiped it down with a damp rag. When that was done, I dried her off with a old towel. The results were amazing! I gave her the smell test 24 hours later and she still smelled good. I am sold.
RATING: 5 out of 5 stars!!
It really works. The smell is not overwhelming or perfume-y. The price is $27 for a gallon jug. If you think that is a lot, try buying other waterless dog washes/deodorizers. The last one I bought was a small spray bottle for $16. It did not last long. Give this a try, especially if you are a multi-dog home.
