I pondered over buying a pet water fountain for a few months. Since I have a mulititude of pets, I was not sure it was worth it. Also, was I making a relatively simple process more complicated? Would it be big enough? After seeing what seemed like a million ads for these water fountains (when you talk about pets on the internet, your pages get inudated with pet stuff), I decided to give in. Upon research, I found out there are many versions of this item. I decided to go with a 3.2 liter size with a window to monitor water level. It did not disappoint.
RATING: 4.5 stars out of 5
I took 1/2 star off because there are some things they really don't tell you but aren't awful. 1) Make sure your fountain is near an outlet. This is not a re-chargable unit, it is a plug in. Not a biggie for me as I had an outlet near by. Also, several times in the description, it will mention not having to refill for days. Being fair, I have lots of pets here. I clean it out and refill it daily. If not, pet hair and dust get in the water and it just looks nasty. How does it get in you ask? There is a slit in the cover that allows the water to recycle through the unit. That's my best guess. With at being said, having to clean and refill only once daily was a plus for me. The old, regular water bowl was being refilled all day long. One last thing; initially my cats were afraid of it. The dogs didn't care but it took the cats about a day to warm up. Overall, I would recommend this pet water fountain especially if you have multiple pets. I have added the link below to the one I bought. As usual, I get a compensation however a portion of everything purchased from this website goes to a pet shelter or rescue.
